Ira Livingston’s primary fields are cultural theory, science studies, and poetics, and he is the Director of the Poetics Institute at Pratt Institute. He is author of three books: Where God Comes From: Reflections on Science, Systems, and the Sublime (Zer0 Books, 2012), Between Science and Literature: An Introduction to Autopoetics (2005), and Arrow of Chaos: Romanticism and Postmodernity (1997). He co-edited Poetry and Cultural Studies: A Reader (with Maria Damon, 2009) and Posthuman Bodies (with Judith Halberstam, 1995).
